The 70's

Elcam was established in 1970 by the members of Kibbutz Baram in Northern Israel. Throughout this decade Elcam’s founders fulfilled their dreams of utilizing their expertise in metal working specialties. They were the first industrialist pioneers in Israel who mastered the ECM technology (Electro Chemical Machining) and this is the source of Elcam’s trade name.

The 80's

As hard metal processing appeared to be a fading business, Elcam, backed by our owners, the community of Kibbutz Baram, explored new opportunities for growth. Eventually we began focusing on production of disposable medical devices, first as a subcontractor producing parts for dialysis sets, and gradually developing our first branded product – the Stopcock.

The 90’s

Throughout the nineties, Elcam enhanced its mastery and penetration within the medical field in global markets, especially in the Western hemisphere. Elcam's stopcock became dominant and renown throughout the medical industry and our product portfolio was broadened even further with the introduction of the new Slit Septum Needleless Connector line.

The New Millennium

The turn of the century marked for Elcam a new and entrepreneurial decade. New products and systems were developed - such as the first and only fully integrated pressure transducer and the flexi-Q auto-injector. Our entrepreneurial spirit was not only reflected by new products, but also by the establishment of Elcam Medical Inc. (EMI) in the US, our first subsidiary outside of Israel and the opening of our second manufacturing facility in Dalton.

2010 - 2019

Elcam entered the 21st century with a new path of growth by means of mergers and acquisitions. In 2010 Elcam acquired Lucomed, now Elcam Medical Italy, which marked our way into being the leading brand in OEM medical disposable flow control devices. Further on, Elcam established E3D (Elcam Drug Delivery Devices) as an independent subsidiary developing and manufacturing our Auto-injectors line.

2020 Onwards

This new decade commenced with an exceptional time for the entire world and it is apparent that the changes COVID-19 brought about will continue to influence us in many areas. During this time, Elcam has been exploring what we believe will be the growth engines of tomorrow, so we can take part as a leader amongst these upcoming changes.
